Hi.
MERIT is a daily editorial question for motherhood photographers. One prompt a day, lots of opinions. A place where the comment section is not an afterthought, the point.
Because if we’re being honest, the best education in this industry has never come from someone speaking at you or selling a course. It comes from photographers speaking with each other, comparing notes, calling out what’s wrong, defending what’s ethical, sharing the scripts that work, and naming what’s broken. Our industry moves forward by setting the bar higher, together.
That is what you’ll find here.
MERIT isn’t interested in safe takes and it definitely isn’t interested in recycled advice. Popularity contests disguised as expertise? Absolutely not.
We’re interested in standards, integrity, the nitty gritty work. We’re interested in photographers who are building real businesses and creating images that hold weight.
This page is anonymous by design.
Not because we’re hiding. Because MERIT cannot become another personality-led brand. It can’t become a face, a voice, or an influencer account. The point is not who we are. The point is what gets said here, what gets defended here, and what gets elevated here.
If you’ve been craving a place that feels honest, grown up, and slightly unhinged in the best way, welcome.
We’ll drop the question, you drop the truth, we come back for the comments.
